Hometown: Phoenix, AZ
First job: Working for my dad, Dr. Gary Brennan, in his dental office.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: These days it is relatively low-impact fun that can make me sweat. Hot yoga, Pilates and trail running are favorites right now.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Growing a business comes with so many challenges. I think getting to where we are and being able to help as many people and pets as we have has been tremendously rewarding.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Running a half marathon a couple years ago. It had been on my bucket list for a while. I wanted to just finish and be able to walk the next day, and it was a great sense of accomplishment.
Someone who inspires you and why: My two sons (Ash and Cole). We worked hard to give them a sense of adventure and curiosity and now that they are teenagers, it is glorious to see them try new things and thrive.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Veterinary medicine can be SO rewarding. A passion for helping animals can run deep in many of us. Education debt can be a big issue with veterinary medical students as they graduate. There are many programs for relief and grants related to working in rural areas and with nonprofits for a bit. Worth looking into.
Favorite quote: “We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” –Seneca
Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I cannot get enough murder mystery-type shows or podcasts.
What makes someone fabulous: Being your true self. Seems that so much of what we see these days is a small veneer, and I really respect those that walk in their own light.
